Scott Rogers is a native of both Toledo, and Bowling Green, Ohio. Scott graduated from both Bowling Green State University with a BMEd and Ashland University with a Med in Curriculum and Instruction. Rogers has at least 48 years as an instrumental artist and 35 years as a successful music educator in Ohio. As a trombonist and vocalist Scott was able to work his craft with the Stan Sterner Big Band, Johnny Knorr Orchestra, The Dayton Jazz Orchestra, The Don Glasser Orchestra N.Y., Bob Jay, and Jack Runyon Big Bands. Scott serves as an Academic Advisor for the College of Musical Arts at Bowling Green State University. Scott continues to teach, perform, and conduct honors groups in many different types of musical situations and venues.

Since 1979, the Toledo Jazz Orchestra has worked with dozens of industry legends, including Dizzy Gillespie, Joe Williams, Clark Terry and Zoot Sims. The group also performs the works of the major big bands from the past eight decades along with arrangements commissioned specifically for the orchestra. The Toledo Jazz Orchestra has two albums to its credit titled “Groovin’” and “Out of Nowhere.”
